How your data flows
What we store and what we do not
- Audio and video are not stored on servers, in the database or in logs.
- Only the text of the conversation (original and translation) and conversation details are stored.
- You can delete records per conversation.
Access control
- The browser never talks to the database directly. Every request is checked for login and origin on the server.
- Secret keys for outside services live only on the server, and the browser receives only a 60-second short-lived connection key.
- Passwords are stored hashed in a secure way, and the login cookie is protected as a secure cookie.
Link protection
- Watch-along and chat links are signed, so they cannot be guessed or forged.
- A watch-along link closes automatically one hour after the conversation ends and can be stopped at any time.
- Viewing links and sending messages have request limits, and each chat room has a daily translation limit.
Logs
- Logs do not contain conversation content, passwords, tokens or raw IP addresses.
What you should know
- Audio is sent to OpenAI and processed for speech recognition.
- Recognized text and translated-chat messages are sent to Google and OpenAI and processed for translation.
- Please let the other person know in advance and get their consent.
