Article 2 (Definitions)

  • "Service" means the live subtitles and two-way interpretation that translate what the other person says into subtitles next to a video call, the watch-along links, translated chat, and conversation records.
  • "User" means a person who logs in with an account issued by the Operator to use the Service, and a person who joins a watch-along or translated chat through a link.
  • "Account" means the ID and password issued by the Operator to a user.
  • "Content" means what a user says or enters in the Service and its translation.

Article 3 (Effect and changes of these terms)

  • These terms are posted on the introduction site so that users can read them at any time.
  • The Operator may change these terms within the limits of the law. It announces the effective date and the reason 7 days before the effective date, or 30 days before for changes that are unfavorable to users.
  • The announcement also states that users who do not object before the effective date are regarded as having agreed to the changed terms. Users who object may stop using the Service.

Article 4 (Content and changes of the Service)

  • The Service provides live subtitles, two-way interpretation, watch-along links, translated chat and conversation records.
  • The Service is in beta, so features and screens may change and some may be suspended. If a change has a large impact on users, it is announced in advance.

Article 5 (Accounts)

  • Accounts are issued by the Operator, and users must manage their ID and password themselves.
  • An account may not be lent or transferred to another person.
  • If you find that your account has been used by someone else, tell the Operator right away.

Article 6 (Duties of users)

  • Users must tell the people taking part in an interpreted conversation in advance that voice and text are sent to outside services (OpenAI and Google) for processing, and must obtain their consent.
  • Share watch-along and translated-chat links only with the people you intend to show them to, and stop sharing or create a new link when they are no longer needed.
  • Users must comply with the law and these terms.

Article 7 (Prohibited acts)

  • Stealing or abusing the Service's connection keys or accounts
  • Reverse engineering the Service or trying to bypass its security
  • Hindering the operation of the Service with excessive requests
  • Infringing on the rights of others or using the Service for unlawful purposes
  • Interpreting or recording other people's conversations without their consent

Article 8 (Rights to Content)

  • Rights to Content belong to the user.
  • The Operator processes Content only as far as needed to provide the Service and show records.
  • The Operator does not use Content to train artificial intelligence.

Article 9 (Limits of AI translation)

  • Translation and speech recognition results are produced by artificial intelligence and may be wrong or incomplete. The Operator does not guarantee accuracy or completeness.
  • Check the results again before making important decisions such as contracts, legal, medical or safety matters. They are not a substitute for a professional interpreter or expert advice.
  • Please do not use the Service for high-risk purposes, such as emergencies that directly concern life or safety.

Article 11 (Interruption of the Service)

  • The Service may stop for a while because of maintenance, failures or problems at outside services (such as OpenAI and Google).
  • The Operator announces this in advance when possible, and afterwards when it cannot be helped.

Article 12 (Restriction and termination)

  • If a user breaks these terms, the Operator may, after notifying the user, restrict use or suspend or delete the account. Urgent security problems are handled first and announced afterwards.
  • A user may stop using the Service at any time by telling the Operator, and records are deleted in line with the Privacy Policy on request.

Article 13 (Limitation of liability)

  • The Operator is not responsible for damage caused by reasons beyond its control, such as natural disasters or failures of outside services.
  • Users are responsible for damage caused by their breach of these terms or the law.
  • This article does not apply to damage caused by the Operator's intent or gross negligence.

Article 14 (Protection of personal information)

The Operator handles personal information in line with the Privacy Policy.

Article 15 (Dispute resolution)

  • The laws of the Republic of Korea apply to these terms.
